Here's something about structural engineering that most people don't know — it's the most important part of any wall removal project, and it's the part that most homeowners know the least about.
We started Load Bearing Wall Pros back in 2015, and since then we've removed over 10,000 walls and done roughly $40 million in structural work across Texas — Dallas, Houston, Austin, and everywhere in between. That's not a typo. $40 million. And every single one of those projects required engineering, load calculations, beam specifications, and in most cases a PE stamp before we could even think about swinging a hammer.
For years, we paid third-party engineering firms to handle this, and honestly, it always drove us crazy. We knew the work better than anyone. We'd done more wall removals than any company in the country. But we still had to wait on someone else to tell us what we already knew.
So we brought on our own licensed Professional Engineer, and that changed everything.

We took everything we learned from those 10,000+ projects — every beam size, every span calculation, every framing configuration you can think of — and we built technology around it. Our customers can now scan their home with a LiDAR app right from their phone or iPad, submit the scan to us, and our system does the engineering in a fraction of the time it used to take.
